About Scissor Sisters
Initially called Dead Lesbian and the Fibrillating Scissor Sisters, the New York-based band now remains with simple Scissor Sisters. As the name may suggest, the group has never enjoyed mainstream success in the local music world, but have been more successful overseas. In the UK, for example, the Scissor Sisters had the best selling album of 2004 with their self titled debut.
